It's Been Awhile!

Sorry we haven't put anything up here in awhile! We have all kinds of new developments. Bekah is crawling all over the place. She is everywhere all the time. She's faster than me! We went to Missouri for Thanksgiving to visit Darren's family and went to my parents house for Christmas. It was so fun to celebrate the holidays with Bekah. She, of course, doesn't know anything different except that there are a lot more people around all the time! Here are some pictures from yesterday of Bekah playing the piano and just hanging out at my parents house. We hope you all had an awesome Christmas! I'll try and put some more pictures on here soon. We have lots that haven't been posted yet.

Dr. Appointment

We had Bekah's four month appointment on Monday even though she's actually 4 1/2 months. They were all really impressed with her development. She totally performed for them and rolled over and grabbed at everything! She even sat up for a little while. When she was laying on the table she kept kicking and kicking because the paper on it was making all kinds of noises!! She was very cute. She weighed 12 lb. 7 oz which is in the 18th percentile and is 25 1/2 inches long which is in the 82nd percentile!!! We knew she was long and skinny, but now we have proof. She is becoming more and more mobile these days. The doctor told us we need to start baby proofing our house already. We need to move all the cleaning supplies up and start getting in the habit of shutting the bathroom doors. He said that every couple years he goes to the funeral of a 9-month-old who drowned in the toilet! So basically, we need to start paying better attention to all of that kind of stuff. Babies are supposed to start crawling between 7-10 months and we think she is going to be on the early side of that. She wants to crawl so bad already!!! She's really trying and I know once she figures it out we are in a world of trouble because she is going to be everywhere at once!!! She also had to get shots which isn't fun, but she did really well. At her 2 month appointment she screamed when she got her shots, so I made Darren go with me this time and she only cried for a little bit. That is not fair!!! I'm glad she didn't cry very much, but why couldn't she have done that with me???? All of that to say, things are going well and she is doing wonderful!!

Here are some more pictures, just for fun!

Hey Hey!

She's modeling already.

She loves her baths!!!

She's getting her fingernails clipped which is not so much fun

So...Bekah has discovered that she has a tongue and loves to lick everything!!! Here she is licking her playpen!!!

Bekah's new favorite thing

Bekah's new favorite thing to do these days is eat absolutely everything. Anything, anywhere near her goes directly to her mouth. She is getting so much better at controlling her hands and so she is able to put everything in her mouth. I read in one article that if your baby is interested in your food and tries to grab it, than they're probably ready to start trying solid foods. This confuses me because Bekah is interested in putting all kinds of things in her mouth, so I don't think I really believe that. She's interested in my coffee, so does that mean it's time for her to have her first latte?? I don't think so. Anyway...here are some pictures of her eating random things!!

Doesn't it look like she's picking her nose with her toe?

Check out her mohawk!!

Here's a video of her eating her feet. I'm sure lots of you have already seen this, but it seems relevant to the post, so I'm putting it on here too!!

Well that's all for now!! One of these days I'm going to put some pictures from when we went to California on here, but I forgot our digital camera, so I have to actually take the camera and get the pictures developed!! Crazy how lazy the digital age has made me!! :)

Mariners Game

We took Bekah to her first Mariners game Monday night. That's quite a lot of action for an almost 4 month old!! She did pretty well. Darren had to walk around with her for awhile. He ended up walking back to the car to get the pacifier because she wouldn't go to sleep with all the noise!! We went with our friends Garin and Stacia. It was kind of a lame-o game. The Mariners lost 9-3 to Oakland. The A's had 2 grand slams! That is just ridiculous! Anyway...here are a few pictures from the game. The ones of Bekah are kind of blurry, so that's sad. Oh yeah...this old guy that worked at the field gave Bekah her first baseball card!! It's a Jeff Kent Opening Day 2006 card. Kind of random, I thought. He doesn't even play for the Mariners!!!

Anyway...here are the pictures.

Garin and Stacia with Bekah

Look how empty it is!!

Ahhh...Ichiro

Well that's all for now.

Camping in the middle of nowhere

So we went on a camping trip on July 31st thru Aug. 5th. We went up to a place called Bonaparte Lake resort. I don't know why they call it a resort. We slept in cabins that only had refrigerators in them. Nothing else! The bathrooms were a shared bathroom for about 10 cabins. I kind of felt like I was at NYR. We were right along a lake and it was beautiful. We had a canoe that we had an electric motor on and that is how we got around the lake to go fishing. And I caught nothing neither did Bethy. That sucked. I didn't get there until Thursday night cause I still had to work. By Friday night Bekah was ready to leave. When we got home Sunday Bekah slept for 9 and 1/2 hours. that is crazy considering she normally only sleeps for about 6-8 hours at night. Here are some pictures of our trip.

Catching up

So just to catch everyone up who doesn't know. Bethy and I now have a little baby girl. Her name is Rebekah Jayne Fleshman and is over 11 lbs. and over 23 inches long. She has started smiling alot and moves all over the place. Not crawling yet but Bethy and I joke that she will start walking before she craws because all she wants to do is stand on our lap. I am still working for a company called Sales Northwest Inc. I've been doing it for over a year and a half now and don't plan on quiting anytime soon. Bethy is able to stay home with Bekah, which is awesome we wouldn't have it any other way. We are going to be in Mo. in November for Thanksgiving so if anyone from Mo. is going to be around we would love to see you. You can also email either one of us anytime you feel like. Bethy's email is bethyf@comcast.net and mine is darrenf@salesnorthwest.net. Now enjoy some pics of the most beautiful girl in the world.
